Quarterly Consultant Meeting

The Quarterly Consultant Team Meeting was conducted for one day on 12 July 2024 in the GDA meeting hall, with 26 participants (4 females). Trainings

Rice is a key crop for Cambodian farmers to use as a daily food and economic crop. Rice covers about 75% of the agricultural land area, and rice production contributes about 15% of the total value added to agricultural products. In 2023, the total area of rice crops will be 3.55 million hectares, of which rainfed rice is 2.87 million hectares and dry season rice is 0.68 million hectares, an increase of 146,189 hectares or 4.30% compared to 2022. The total rice yield was 12.49 million tons (3.14 million tons of dry rice and 9.35 million tons of wet rice), an increase of 868,826 tons, equivalent to 7.47% compared to 2022.

PSC Meetings

The PCRL-PSC was appointed by the MAFF Minister in the Decision letter No. 397, dated 01 December 2023, responsible for guiding during the implementation period as well as decision-making to ensure that the efficient execution of the project leads to the achievement of the project objective and that the project maintains alignment with all relevant national policies.

Workshops

The first workshop [PCRL Inception Workshop] was successfully conducted on 26 October 2023, with a total participation of 82 (19 females). In the end, the whole workshop achieved better results than expected. Later, a Provicial Orientation Workshop was conducted in Siem Reap province on 1 February 2024, with a total participation of 89 stakeholders (17 women) from the national level and target provinces, including Siem Reap and Kampong Thom.
