Field Work Activities
Field Work Activities
Within the PCRL project, there are many multi-stakeholder field-works such as visits, assessments, inspections, and surveys for sharing the information and experiences with relevant stakeholders (field practitioners, model farmers, agricultural cooperatives, community protected area members, key experts, etc.).
Farmer Field Schools (FFS) and community-led resilience investment packages (CRIPs) are the two primary mechanisms to be achieved by the project through field-works with local model farmers, especially local field trials that demonstrate the benefits of supported varieties with the best potential for local up-take.
The PCRL project will conduct the farmer field schools to build local capacities and improve farmers' awareness about when and how to make the extension services effective and efficient. Furthermore, the project will facilitate farmer-to-farmer exchanges that address specific practical challenges and experiences to reduce barriers to the adoption and continuance of supported practices and boost wider field replications.
The project will also conduct training of trainers (TOT) to build institutional governmental capacities and community agriculture officers (CAO).
